ADP BUSINESS & INFORMATION SYSTEM

Business and Information Systems (BIS) is a dynamic, interdisciplinary field that sits at the critical intersection of business strategy and information technology. It is the study of how organizations can leverage data, technology, and information systems to solve problems, optimize operations, and achieve a competitive advantage

Overview

Unlike pure Business, which focuses on management and finance, or pure Computer Science, which focuses on building technology, BIS focuses on aligning the two. A BIS professional is a “translator” who understands the goals of the business (e.g., increase profit, enter a new market) and can design and implement the technological systems (e.g., a new e-commerce platform, a data analytics dashboard) to make those goals a reality.
