Overview
Leads college of pharmacy affiliated with UVAS is playing a key role in both the advancement of the field of pharmacy and in the education of new generations of pharmacists.
Pharmacists are third largest health care professionals worldwide serving humanity. Pharmacists have a positive impact on the provision of public health service by ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
Our goal is to provide sufficient professional and practical experience that will enable the students to become valuable Pharmacists and assist them in their profession. Our purpose is to serve and empower students by fostering professional development and providing direct patient care activities and awareness about pharmacy profession. Leads college of pharmacy (affiliated with UVAS) offers Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) program. This five year degree program provide the students a basic knowledge of different medical sciences (like, physiology, anatomy and histology, microbiology and pathology), while strong concept in pharmaceutical sciences (like, pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, industrial pharmacy, physical pharmacy, pharmaceutical preparation, dispensing, forensic pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, and clinical pharmacy). Pharmacist are drug specialists who formulate, store and give right dose of economically available medications from pharmaceutical organizations and direct the patients in the utilization of both prescription and over-the-counter drugs. Hence, a Pharmacist must be a competent individual having complete data about medications/drugs and related substances in different fields of healthcare.
