The study of Physical Education and Sports has a vital Importance in this age of science and technology. A nation cannot safe guard it’s domestic and foreign interest and get its due status at National and International level without using the latest techniques of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in their professional and daily routine life. The Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences has been established at Lahore Leads University to cater the growing demands of the talented youth in sports education. The Department helps to promote the philosophy of healthy lifestyle, which has physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual features. Hence, the aim of physical education program is to provide safeguard against deteriorating health, unhygienic environment and to promote health through the acquisition of skills and knowledge that can be integrated into a holistic lifestyle. For this purpose, the courses have been designed in a professional manner starting from anatomy & physiology of human body to physical & health education, sports medicine, sports psychology and sports management. The faculty has a motive to impart quality education to produce quality sports leaders to uplift the standard of national sports in the international scenario. The Department provides modern sports facilities and equipment to the students and offers programs at BS and Master levels. In near future, a fully equipped Human Performance Lab will be established to incorporate the latest techniques and performance analysis methodologies.
