INTRODUCTION

Recent developments in computer hardware, software and communication technologies have offered new exciting opportunities and challenges for creation of innovative learning environments for Information Technology. The Department of Information Technology aims to cultivate talented information administrators to develop and operate advanced computing systems, and to design and analyze algorithms. Our students learn basic theories of advanced computing technology. By understanding computer architecture and various computer languages, our students will take a lead in high technology of computer science with the rapidly changing computing systems, databases, computer networks, distributed systems, artificial intelligences, wireless multimedia, software engineering and so on. The Department offers programs in IT leading to Bachelor’s (BS) and Master’s (MPhil) degrees. The faculty and administration are poised to turn the department into a center of excellence while incorporating the specializations of computing technologies.

Program
