Office of Research and Development


At LLU Research and Development is at the heart of the University's teaching and learning strategy. LLU Offers postgraduate programs in the diversified fields of Computer Science, Commerce, Economics, Education, Islamic Studies, Linguistics, Literature, Management Sciences, Mass Communication and Mathematics. LLU being a learning organization focused on knowledge creation and knowledge sharing at all levels, having more than 3000 students from all over Pakistan, with more than 50% are enrolled in MS Leading to PhD programs. These facts signifies that need of higher education is expanding and worth attracting for the higher education institutions to be a research orientated University. This trend will surely result in more indigenous theories, paradigms and contextualize knowledge for Pakistan. LLU provides the excellent learning culture for research scholars to sharpen their qualitative and quantitative research skills with the value added help from more than 25 PhD faculty members having diversified research expertise.

As steward of the university’s externally and internally funded research portfolio, the Office will be responsible for ensuring that all research proposals and projects adhere to LLU academic and research policies and meet its obligations to sponsors. The strengthen office will coordinate with local and international funding agencies and donors for securing grants, scholarships, and funds for institutional support and development. The expansion of knowledge and its dissemination through research and scholarly studies are integral to LLU mission as an educational institution. Accordingly, faculty members are encouraged and are expected to undertake fundamental and primary research of interest to them and to comply with research guidelines of University and funding agency.

Industry Linkages


University-Industry Linkage refers to the relationship by which academic activities are linked with similar ones in the industrial sector for mutually beneficial existence in the society. Effective and efficient University-Industry Linkages are necessary condition for knowledge and technology transfer from university to the industry for socio economic development of the country. University graduates and research outputs have to be absorbed by the industry. At LLU we are committed to ensure the employability of its graduates, and thus contributing to the competitiveness of the Pakistani economy. University and industry can cooperate and undertake research together on improving the product quality, process improvement, service quality, new product development, and range of many other functional domains. LLU is looking for to obtain support from industry for University programs and projects for students and faculty.
